“It’s not a good thing for the lower-ranked players. It’s going to be a struggle for them to make a big breakthrough. The dream of these players of having one great tournament, then making a ranking move, is not going to happen. I can’t support it as the president and I have to look all the players in the eye. I know it could be a good thing for me or Rafa because we would stay at the top for a very long time. It would take something extraordinary for us to move down. For the lower ranked players it is simply not a good thing.”

It’s amazing, these two! I have to confess myself somewhat a sceptic when it comes to genuine relationships, not to say they don’t exist but they are few and far between to say the least. Sure I don’t “really” know him, but Roger Federer for me is one the only reasons I think a loyal and honorable man (to his wife!) really exists in the world. I don’t know everything, but look at what he’s done so far, what he continues to do…its amazing and respect it highly! When I read about these two or hear them talk of each other, I know there’s something truly special there. So keep it up Rog and Mirka! ♥
